Green Future Celebrated at Camserney Garden

Breadalbane Community Garden at Camserney Farm near Aberfeldy was opened by John Swinney on[Saturday [16th September] and marked by the planting of a commemorative tree. The MSP for North Tayside said the event celebrated the hard work of the local community which had made it a resounding success.

Speaking at the opening, Swinney added: “This project has been made successful by the vision shown by Alex Murray who offered the land for the project, W B Grieve who contributed a great deal in the landscaping effort, Breadalbane Academy pupils and a host of local volunteers who have created this excellent community garden.

“The Project has already been the focus of attention as it was chosen by the Beechgrove Garden to feature on the TV show in June. The purpose of the project is to provide a means of ensuring young people are aware of the land and what we can generate from the land. It is of enormous educational value and the close link with Breadalbane Academy is a vital part of the project. I wish the project every success and it is a beautiful addition to the Breadalbane area.”
