Primary Youngsters Mark Queen's Birthday

A tree planting ceremony was held at Grandtully Primary School to celebrate the Queen’s 80th Birthday. Staff and pupils, aided by local resident Mrs Christine Thomson , planted an apple tree in their school garden to commemorate this landmark birthday.

The Primary 7 pupils keyed in a special message which they added to the thousands of birthday wishes already received at the official website set-up to celebrate the Queen’s life. Christine Thomson is pictured with the children at the planting and winging off the goodwill message to the monarch are Geordie Broad, Lauri Benning, Lewis Thomson & Alex Thomson
