Vermin Officer Seeks HP Appointment

Well known Highland Perthshire resident Johnnie Armour, who was water bailiff on the Tay for 30 years and who has lived at Wester Cluny Farm in Foss for the past 19 years, is looking to relocate, due to changes on the Estate.

Johnnie has been living and working in this area for over 50 years. His passion for Highland Perthshire started when he visited Glenlyon as a boy to fish, so when the chance came he moved there with his wife to live.

From there he moved to Pitlochry and worked at the Salmon Hatchery below the Dam. His claim to fame is that he reared 21million salmon at the hatchery, sadly not all were released into the Tummel as some were sold on.

After a run-in with poachers in Blairgowrie, Johnnie found himself laid up for over a year. However, he is now back fighting fit and raring to go. As well as being a licensed vermin officer, Johnnie is also offering himself for river and game management. He has a great wealth of knowledge and experience having worked all over Highland Perthshire.

He is offering these skills as part rent and is looking for accommodation for himself and his working dogs.

He will consider all offers, is keen to stay in the area and can be contacted on 01796 473329 or mobile 07951 356272.
