New Clinic Launched in Killiecrankie
A NEW CLINIC offering a wide range of treatments has been opened in Killiecrankie by Amanda McWilliam. She specialises in personal training, massage therapy, the Bowen Technique and exercises specific to injury and illness rehabilitation. Amanda’s idea for her clinic at No1 The Steading on Urrard Estate is to offer a restful and relaxing environment in which to conduct her treatments.
Amanda is very interested in alternative therapy, which she feels has much to offer. After a car accident in which she sustained whiplash injuries, she was treated by a Bowen Technique specialist and found the treatment worked amazingly well. Amanda said “I couldn’t believe how well I felt after receiving my treatment and this piqued my interest in Bowen.” Working alongside conventional medicine, alternative therapy can sometimes achieve the desired results where other treatments have failed.
After extensive training, Amanda now offers this therapy at her clinic. The technique is a soft tissue therapy carried out by a rolling type movement over muscles, ligaments and tendons, sending a vibration through the tissue. This allows the body to highlight areas where problems exist. The therapist works as a catalyst, allowing the body to do the work and bring relief to symptoms. |
