Join Explorers Garden Manger Julia Corden, Thursday 3 August at 2pm for botanical tales of discovery in New Zealand, and adventure in South Africa.
Julia, pictured with the rare Vegetable Sheep - Raoulia eximia, led a Garden tour into the mountains of New Zealand in search of native flora.
In South Africa, Julia was sponsored by The Royal Horticultural Society and The Scottish Rock Garden Club, to explore the Drakensburg range in Lesoto - The Mountain Kingdom. There she climbed Ben MacDui the highest point in Lesoto, which coincidentally is also the name of one of the highest mountains in the Cairngorms.
Following in the footsteps of intrepid Scottish Plant Hunters, Francis Masson and David Lyall, and with a fascinating story to recount, Julia has lived to tell the tale!
