Move2Improve Action in Aberfeldy Town Square

Move To Improve, along with Take a Pride in Perthshire, placed their show piece planter arrangement in The Square, Aberfeldy on Wednesday 12 July. With a little help from Barhaul and its lifting equipment, the 5 tiered planter display was put in place and this will remain there for the summer months and then be replaced in the run-up to Christmas by the Christmas tree.

Members of the groups are pictured below by Linda Thomson on tiptoe and teetering to guide in the top tiers of the planter.

Willie Leszke, Chairman of Move to Improve said: “We are grateful to Barhaul for helping us out today and of course to all our volunteers and contributors who have helped make this project to upgrade The Square so successful.”

The finishing touches to the information board in The Square are next on the agenda. The red hackle above the board will be lit up and the committee is working on the finishing touches for this.

The next project the group is considering is the east entrance into Aberfeldy and Isobel McBride the group’s secretary said: “We would be happy to hear from anyone who wishes to donate either funds or some of their spare time. Ideas and suggestions are also welcome as to how this next project should progress.”

Isobel McBride can be contacted by email on metheassessor@aol.com and Willie Leszke can be contacted by email on wleszke@lineone.com, or by post to Move to Improve, 6 Dunkeld Street, Aberfeldy PH15 2DA.
