The Rotary Club of Pitlochry recently presented Mike Cheesewright with a trophy as Pitlochry Citizen of the Year.
Mike has been a member of Pitlochry & Moulin Community Council since 1989, and served as chairman for 12 years. He is also vice - chair of the Association of Scottish Community Councils, and is chairman of Perthshire Housing Association. He is active on the Highland Games Committee, the Major Events Group and the New Year Party Committee.
At the same time, Evelyn Wild and Christine Campbell were presented with Community and Vocational Service Awards. These were for their outstanding effort in making the Tryst homely and welcoming to all its clients, and for their dedication to making attendance at the Tryst such a pleasurable and positive experience for all.
