Hands Up – Quickly!
ON 8 JUNE Aberfeldy community council, accompanied by MSP John Swinney and C’llr Ken Lyall, will meet with members and officers of P&K Council to thrash out the vexed question of public toilet provision in the town.
The community council is encouraging any interested folk urgently to submit their ideas for public toilet provision to its chairman John Wackett (01887 820618), and to do this prior to the June meeting in good time for them to be incorporated into its developing policy.
Points to be raised will include the facts that Aberfeldy, which has been pressing for a decade for WC improvements, has busier through-traffic than Dunkeld which is already receiving upgraded and staffed facilities. One option for consideration might be selling off the current toilets in Burnside and relocating services to those existing in the Town Hall, where adequate coach parking would be available. |
