Will you be ‘on a promise’ on 25 February?

A PROMISE AUCTION will be held in Pitlochry Town Hall on Saturday 25 February at 7.30 pm. There will be a wide and varied range of ‘lots’ to bid for and a charismatic auctioneer to build the tension and supervise the proceedings. A full list of promises will be available shortly on posters and flyers and the night is sure to be one of the best fun-filled evenings of entertainment this winter. The money raised at the event will help keep Heartland FM on the airwaves.

The promises are a mixture of fun items and high value ones. Things already promised include:

a day's fishing on Loch Tay with boat and ghillie

a day's golf for 4 people at the magnificent Guthrie Castle

a clown for a children’s party

return transport for a couple to Inverness for a shopping trip

shooting with instruction

a massage.

Entry is free and there will be a raffle and music on the evening. The organisers invite you to bring some ready cash, your chequebook and your own refreshments. Come and join in the fun, bid for some ‘lots’ and help to raise lots of money to keep your radio station on air.

If you would like to become more involved in helping Heartland Fm by offering some of your time and skills to be auctioned or through advertising, gifts, sponsorship or personal support, please contact Marion MacDonald on mailbox@heartlandfm.co.uk or phone 07725002751.

This is your radio station and you are welcome to come along and help make programmes or help with administrative tasks. It always looks good on your CV. Training is available for programme production and presentation.

Heartland FM is a not-for-profit organisation. It costs about £50,000 per year to run Heartland with a significant amount of that going on royalties, license fees and maintaining equipment. The radio station broadcasts 24 hours a day 7 days a week to the communities of Highland Perthshire and beyond..

Most of the programmes are produced and presented by dedicated volunteers supported by a core of three part-time paid staff members who anchor the daytime shows and sell the advertising.

Advertising alone cannot sustain the costs of keeping Heartland Fm on air and other forms of fundraising and sponsorship are constantly being sought. This Promise Auction is one of these events. It is not for any special purpose, just to keep the station going. Your support and encouragement are highly valued.

Lots of laughs + lots of lovely things to bid for = lots money raised!
