Charity Trolley Dash Doubles Its Beneficiaries

A PERTH CHARITY benefited from the generosity of a Pitlochry trolley dash winner just before Christmas. Peripatetic teacher Marilyn Howe of Birnam won the first prize of a one minute dash around Pitlochry Co-op in a Prize Draw run by the Rotary Club of Pitlochry during December.

Through the draw, the Club raised almost £900 to be sent to support the Mercy Ships Charity, as Club member Sandy Wilson is currently in the African state of Sierra Leone, assisting with the construction of a new local hospital.
The Rotary Club’s International Committee chair, Maureen Holmes, said: “It is a super gesture from Marilyn to think of others less fortunate at Christmas time. Our thanks must also go to Richard MacCuish and his staff at Pitlochry Coop for donating the prize .”
