Mini Tattoo ‘Best Yet’
For the fifth consecutive year, Dewar’s World of Whisky hosted its Mini Military Tattoo on 13 August in the picturesque grounds of Aberfeldy Distillery.
Performers - vibrant acts of music and dance from around the globe from the sold-out Edinburgh Military Tattoo - delighted the capacity audience of three thousand people. The lineup included:
The Top Secret Drum corps from Switzerland set the pulses racing along with the Army Band from Chile accompanying hot dancing from Easter Island. The Wototo Childrens Choir sang with music in their souls all the way from Uganda and were followed by electrifying Kung Fu Acts from China. The Pipe Bands of South Africa with their Highland Dancers and the Pipe Bands of Scotland’s finest regiments joined a splendid finale with the full cast of the Mini Tattoo. |

When the curtain had come down on the Acts, children were treated to entertainment and the chance to join in workshops of music, dance and drumming in the arena with all the performers.
Jane Grimley, Dewar’s World of Whisky Centre Manager, said: “This year was the best yet, buzzing with the excitement of being so close to these world famous acts of music and dance and bringing an event of this nature to the doorstep of Aberfeldy. We were also indebted to the Police and Army cadets who helped to manage the crowds and without whom events like this could not take place.’’
