The annual presentation of the Dobson Memorial award was made at the Robert Wiseman Dairies Vale of Atholl Pipe band annual social held in the Birnam house hotel on Saturday night 19 November.
Chairman Alister Walker welcomed over 100 people to the social. Pipe majors Andy Renwick, Scott Oliphant and Euan McKinnon, along with secretary Gillie McNab, were all thanked for their hard work during the year.

Various presentations were made during the evening. The Dobson Memorial Salver was presented to a member of the Juvenile band for smartness, commitment and helpfulness. It is presented every year in memory of David Dobson who was a piper in the band. The salver was presented to Gavin Stewart by pipe major Scott Oliphant.
