A CLEAN SWEEP was achieved by the Robert Wiseman Dairies Vale of Atholl pipe band at its first outdoor competition of the season at Dunbar.
The Royal British Legion (Dunbar branch) hosted when the grade 1 band, under Pipe Major Andy Renwick, swept the board winning all three top trophies of the day - best pipe band, best drum corps (lead tip, Paul Turner) and best bass section (bass drummer, Jamie Lindsay).
The novice juvenile band, under Pipe Major Scott Oliphant, won 4th place in its grade. Both bands are pictured by Tom Ironside marching off the field with their trophies. |
