SpringSingThing!

IF SINGING is your thing then don`t miss JustSingin`s great event featuring workshops and sessions with nationally acclaimed tutors, a perfect way to herald the Springtime.
On Friday 28 April, 8.30 pm onwards, join CHRISTINE KYDD (right) and JustSingin` at The Taybank in Dunkeld for a singing session.
There is a full day of singing on Saturday 29 April at Wester Caputh Hostel and Caputh Village Hall, starting with registration at 10 am in Caputh Village Hall. JIM MALCOLM, acclaimed soloist as well as being lead singer and guitarist with Old Blind Dogs, with "Singing with Guitar" - tips from the man who can!
Few singers can uncover the essence of traditional ballads as fluently as SYLVIA BARNES (Kentigern, Battlefield Band), and from 10.30-12.30 she will lead a "Song for Singin" workshop.

 

There will be a Pot Luck lunch at Caputh Village Hall so bring something tasty to share.
Between 2-4 pm Jim Malcolm`s "Song for Singing" workshop will concentrate on group singing, and Sylvia Barnes will lead "All Life is Here" with ballads and stories in song.
Between 4-5 pm we will all gather together for a Song Share Ceilidh!
There is a breather for an evening meal (easy with the choice of hotels and restaurants in Dunkeld and Birnam) then meet together again for a session with CHRISTINE KYDD, SYLVIA BARNES, JIM MALCOLM and Just Singin` at The Tap Inn, Birnam House Hotel, Birnam, Everyone welcome!
Full day cost of workshops is £16, with half-day rates and concessions available, the evening sessions at The Tap Inn and The Taybank are FREE.
