Sweet Scented Summer Evening Concert

In the wake of her recently released debut album, Sweet Scented Summer, Claire Campbell has been hailed as one of Scotland’s brightest new talents. Playing Pitlochry Festival Theatre Monday 21 August, 8pm, Claire will perform romantic, melodic songs that reveal a breath of styles, moods and concerns, as well as her underlying traditional music heritage.

Her album incorporates a range of traditional instruments, such as the clarsach and fiddle, alongside the piano and guitar, all accompanied by vocals that reveal a breadth of tone and style. Her arrangements reveal an influence that journeys through country and Celtic to pop and folk.

Tour Credits

Her list of credits is impressive and includes performances in Ireland, Spain, Azerbaijan, India, the Maldives, the Seychelles, Sri Lanka and Kenya as well as solo fiddle performances at the Lincoln Centre, New York. Claire also sneaked an appearance with Belle and Sebastian on the album Boy with the Arab Strap.
