The chairman of the entertainment committee of the Robert Wiseman Dairies Vale of Atholl pipe band, which runs the highly popular highland nights in Pitlochry, is emigrating with his young family to New Zealand, the home of his wife, Nicky.

Colin Forsyth has chaired the committee for the past ten years. He decided to mark the occasion by presenting a new set of pipes to the David Dobson memorial trust. This is a fund run by the band to help its young members.

The band presented Colin with a framed print of the Highland nights as a thank you for his hard work.
